Position Overview
The Program Coordinator is the glue that holds our day-to-day programming together and the heart behind our Fellows’ experiences. This person will work closely with the Executive Director to bring Village Collective’s mission to life by supporting programming, managing partnerships, and most importantly—serving as a consistent presence and support system for our Fellows.
This role includes weekly check-ins with Fellows, facilitating house meetings, conducting house sweeps (inspections), coordinating service learning projects, and planning social experiences to foster a sense of community and accountability. You’ll help shape a culture of growth, excellence, and connection. If you love working directly with young adults, building programs that matter, and making things happen—this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct weekly 1:1 check-ins with Fellows to track progress, provide support, and troubleshoot challenges.
- Lead monthly house meetings and complete regular house sweeps (inspections) to ensure safe, respectful, and intentional living.
- Coordinate and participate in monthly community service activities and quarterly social gatherings.
- Assist with the coordination, implementation, and evaluation of program initiatives focused on workforce readiness, independent living, and community building.
- Support curriculum development in areas such as social-emotional learning, financial literacy, and professional skills.
- Identify and engage potential community and curriculum partners; assist in formalizing partnerships.
- Track key metrics, gather participant feedback, and help generate program reports for funders and internal improvement.
- Collaborate on Fellow recruitment strategies and outreach.
- Contribute to planning and execution of workshops, events, and community-building activities.
- Maintain strong communication with participants, partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and impact.
- Stay informed on best practices in youth development, workforce programming, and partnership development.
What You Bring to the Table
- A heart for the mission and a head for strategy—you love community, but you also think critically and execute with care.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience in nonprofit program coordination, education, youth services, or community development.
- 2+ years of experience working in program delivery, partnership management, or direct support roles.
- Deep passion for youth development and an understanding of the unique needs of young adults transitioning into independence.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build trust and connection with a diverse range of participants.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills—you know how to prioritize, follow through, and get things done.
- Tech-savvy—comfortable with Google Workspace, Canva, spreadsheets, and social media platforms.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently, take initiative, and adapt quickly.
- High emotional intelligence, collaborative spirit, and a genuine passion for helping others grow and thrive.

Compensation & Benefits
Estimated Salary: Hourly rate ranges from $21.98 to $25.64 for an approximate yearly salary of $40,000/year, based on experience and market benchmarks in Cleveland
