Daveda is a dynamic and experienced nonprofit leader with a focus on creating and managing impactful programs that drive positive change and empower those served. She brings a wealth of experience in program management, developing strong partnerships to ensure student success, coaching and strategic planning. Prior to joining Village Collective, Daveda was the Director of Out of School Time Programs at College Now Greater Cleveland where she oversaw the development and implementation of initiatives to support youth in their academic, career development and personal journeys.

Throughout her career, including roles as an Executive Director, Family Advocate and Career Coach, Daveda has always been dedicated to nurturing future leaders and fostering an inclusive, supportive community. Daveda has a Bachelor’s Degree in Family and Childhood Development and has spent over 20 years working to empower and improve the lives of students, young people and families in Northeast Ohio.

Julie has a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and a Master Degree in Nonprofit Management. For the past fifteen years, Julie has been focused on supporting nonprofits in raising the funds they need to operate and deepen their impact. Julie provides full-cycle grants management for both private and public funding, as well as supports the development of individual giving and other fundraising strategies.

Kristine Copeland has a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Master’s Degrees in Education, Adult Education and Training, as well as Curriculum and Instruction. Kristine has more than two decades of experience mentoring, coaching and providing case management to youth and young adults with a focus on helping them advance their personal, educational and career goals. Kristine has been coaching the current Village Collective Fellows since 2022 and looks forward to continuing to support our Fellows as they pursue their career and life goals.

Suzie has a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant. She began her professional career in 2013 at a CPA and business consulting firm where she specialized in working with non-profits throughout Northeast Ohio. For the past eight years, Suzie has been providing internal accounting services to Northeast Ohio non-profits. With a specialization in non-profit accounting, she is well versed in the rules and regulations of the industry and is attentive to the needs and mission of the organizations she serves.

Angela has a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics Education, a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership, and has worked in the non-profit education sector for thirteen years. Her experience includes leading small teams; researching and creating systems; writing, tracking, and evaluating curriculum; coaching programming staff; and managing a variety of projects ranging from website redesign to annual calendar planning. She has a passion for engaging education, efficient processes, and data.

Phil has over thirty years of experience as a successful entrepreneur and business leader, including establishing the initial Weed Man franchise in the Cleveland area in 2000, which has grown exponentially under Phil’s leadership. Phil now trains new franchise owners through his business, Growing Opportunities LLC, on how to start and run their own business, and volunteers for local workforce development nonprofit organizations to share his knowledge and passion for entrepreneurship and business. Phil and his wife have been faithful volunteers and mentors to numerous Boys Hope Girls Hope Scholars over the years, and they look forward to also mentoring and supporting Village Collective Fellows as they prepare for the workforce. Phil is a Board Member at Family Promise, an organization that serves families experiencing homelessness in Cleveland through housing and supportive services. Phil also volunteers with Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin School’s Labre Program serving the inner city poor. 

Bill is a Certified Public Accountant and manages his own CPA firm.  Prior leadership positions include owner and CEO of Sheffield Metals International, CFO of Westside Catholic Center, and CFO and Administrative Vice President of Arhaus Furniture from 1987 to 1997.  Bill currently serves on the Board of Arhaus, LLC, a publicly held company.  Bill has also dedicated a significant amount of time serving on numerous nonprofit boards, including serving on the Board of Directors at Eliza Bryant Village for 15 years, HELP Foundation, and St. Augustine’s Health Ministries.  In addition to serving as Treasurer on Village Collective’s Board of Directors, Bill currently serves on the Board of Directors at Glenmoira House of Mary which provides a residential community for developmentally disabled adults, and has served on the Boys Hope Girls Hope of Northeastern Ohio Finance Committee since 2013.

Tim is the President of Walsh Jesuit High School. Just prior to beginning his role at Walsh Jesuit in June 2024, Tim led the launch of Village Collective Inc and served as the Executive Director of Boys Hope Girls Hope of Northeastern Ohio for fifteen years, leading both program and campus expansion at Boys Hope Girls Hope through a $9M capital campaign. Campus expansion included the construction of a 22,000 sq.ft. programing facility as well as the purchase and renovation of a home to serve post-secondary Scholars. Tim also served as the Executive Director of the Arrupe Neighborhood Partnership for 7 years at St. Ignatius High School in Cleveland prior to his work at Boys Hope Girls Hope. Throughout his career, Tim has dedicated himself to creating educational opportunities for Northeast Ohio’s youth and young adults and he looks forward to supporting the growth and impact of Village Collective as a Board Member.

Pastor Gibson has served as pastor of Elizabeth Baptist Church (EBC) in Cleveland since 2002.  In addition to Christian education and worship, EBC operates a homeless shelter for pregnant women and children, provides a feeding and a clothing ministry has adopted a local school and provides tutors and other assistance each week, houses the largest prison ministry in the state of Ohio, as well as the largest interfaith group in Northeast Ohio.  Pastor Gibson is an adjunct law professor at CWRU Law School, serves on several boards, and he is currently president of the Board of the Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court.  Additionally, Pastor Gibson is the President of the Eternal Housing Fund, a nonprofit focused on acquiring, preserving and owning affordable rental housing communities to low-income residents.

Andy is a retired Executive Vice President at InVue Security Products Inc where he led and managed manufacturing, engineering, systems, finance, legal, HR and sourcing aspects of the business, helping InVue grow 50-fold via numerous acquisitions and divestitures. Andy currently serves as the Board Chair of Boys Hope Girls Hope of Northeastern Ohio where he and his family have been involved for more than 20 years. In addition to his board leadership at Boys Hope Girls Hope and Village Collective, Andy also serves on the Board of Directors at Pathway Caring for Children, which provides foster care, adoption and mental health services for children and families across 14 counties in Northeast Ohio.

Mike is an accomplished corporate executive and currently serves as a director of Nordson Corporation, where he was chairman from 2018 to March 2024. Prior leadership positions include his role as CEO of Lamson & Sessions Corporation, CFO of American Greetings Corporation, and CEO of Royal Appliance Mfg. Co. Mike also currently serves on the corporate boards of Regis Corporation and Vitamix Corporation. Mike is deeply dedicated to promoting educational opportunities across Northeast Ohio through his philanthropic leadership. Mike has supported Breaththrough Schools since 2006 where he served as the Chair and Vice-Chair of the Friends of Breakthrough Board of Directors, and now serves as a Lifetime Board Member. Mike was a member of the Board of Trustees at John Carroll University for 23 years, and served as its immediate past president through May 2022. Mike has also been a Board Member at Boys Hope Girls Hope of Northeastern Ohio since 2008.
